Mississauga, Ontario, this is the city where you can get anywhere fast. Located just west of Toronto and part of the Peel Region Municipality, Mississauga has a readily accessible transportation system by rail or bus, and seven major highways passing through the city. Mississauga offers fast and convenient access to major destinations in Canada and the United States, with Toronto Pearson International Airport at its doorstep.

Mississauga is debt-free and has not borrowed money since 1978. Interestingly enough, Mississauga has had the same mayor, Hazel McCallion, since 1978.

The city of Mississauga offers shopping at seven major shopping malls, one of those large malls being Square One, the largest mall in Ontario. Two village retail settings are also easily accessed in Streetsville and Port Credit.

Sports and leisure activites include teams and clubs for boys’ and girls’ hockey , football, cricket, roller hockey and figure skating. The Hershey Centre is the city’s major sporting facility. For the outdoor enthusiast, this city offers the unique ability to access 20 outdoor woodland trails for hiking, biking, and nature walks.

Historical and cultural patrons will find ongoing interest at such locations as the Living Arts Centre, Bradley Museum, Opera Mississauga, Art Gallery Of Mississauga, Adamson Estate, the Mississauga Library and many more,

Mississauga has doubled in population in each of the last two decades. As Toronto’s economic growth has continued, Mississauga has benefitted by its proximity to the urban sprawl of Toronto. Mississauga took this growth opportunity to attract individuals looking for residential options that would remove them from the hustle and bustle of large city life
